And since it’s always a good idea to work with family (right?), we jumped at Aaron’s offer to write a guest post about why he loves King Taps Happy Hour.
Hey King Taps crew! As an OG regular and digital nomad who’s lived all over Canada, I’ve been lucky enough to spend lots of time at King Taps, aka the best happy hour in Toronto and Kelowna. If you haven’t been to their happy hour yet, you’re in for a treat. I’m breaking down the reasons for naming King Taps my undisputed champion of happy hours in both cities.

Of course, drinks are a huge draw wherever you go. I love that the King Taps Happy Hour specials start at $5, but it’s the variety of options that keep me coming back over and over. Local beers are always a plus for me, especially when my work day ends early. The house wines are easy to pair with food on the happy hour menu, and also nice for mid-afternoon dates (yes, I’ve taken a date to Happy Hour 😂). I like to mix it up with cocktails on late night Happy Hour visits – don’t sleep on the Pink Flamingo!

Now, let’s talk about the real game-changer: the Happy Hour menu. You’ll pretty much find whatever you’re craving. I’m always down for a King Burger at late lunch, and the Saladita Bowl is a close runner-up, especially after the weekend when I need more veggies in my life. At late nights, it’s hard to go for anything other than the 2 for $30 pizza deal. Easy to split with a friend (Stinging Bee & Godfather FTW), or I go all-in and eat the leftovers for breakfast.
